Suitable for aquarium. Measures the electric conductivity in a liquid in the unit µS (abbrev. for MicroSiemens)

- Measurement Range: 0-9990 µS. From 0-999 µS, the resolution is in increments of 1 µS. From 1000 to 9990 µS, the resolution is in increments of 10 µS, indicated by a blinking 'x10' image.

The meter is NOT water proof like the newer AP-2. If it gets wet - it happens - remove the upper small part with the batteries, blow into the meter and let it dry. It worked for me.
